ICED TEA FOR HOT SUMMER DAYS
Summer is here!!! We all know what that would mean; long walks on the beach,water parks and late night drinks at a terrace.
I’m saying it “would mean” because, unfortunately, we are still not over the pandemic, but that shouldn’t stop us from enjoying a late night drink on our own terraces with the people who we love most, and what better beverage than a refreshing, exquisite glass of iced tea?
LYCHEE BLACK TEA
A few of you have experienced a few heartbreaks during this lockdown? Well look no more, because this particular strain of tea is known to benefit heart help.
I know it’s meant for the physical part of it, but hey, pour a freshly made pot of lychee tea over some ice and enjoy it, it will 100% refresh you and you might forget who-did-what; it’s worth a shot!
The Taiwanese use this tea with milk and sugar to create the Boba (Bubble Tea) drinks. It’s full of antioxidants, Vitamins B+C and it provides the body with a rich source of nutrients that it requires for the production of blood.
If you prefer it warm, steep for 3 to maximum 5 minutes (depending on the intensity you are looking for) and add a dash of milk or cream, for a richer taste experience.
MANGO OOLONG TEA
This Chinese Mango Oolong tea offers the consumer’s senses an out of this world experience, due to the use of real mango chunks, for the ultimate taste rollercoaster.
With similar health effects as black tea, this delicious drink helps heart, bone and brain health, as well as boosts our metabolism, therefore decreasing the risk of us developing type 2 diabetes.
I prefer this brew in a pitcher over ice, some lemon and pineapple slices.
